Lidocaine is a local anesthetic agent. It is used as local anesthetic as well as antiarrhythmic. The most prominent cardiac action is suppression of automaticity in ectopic foci. Lidocaine is also used topically to relieve in burning, itching and pain in skin inflammation. It is injected as an anesthetic in dental problems or used in minor surgeries as a local anesthetic.

Ventricular tachyarrhythmias, local anesthetics etc

Drowsiness, nausea, paresthesias, blurred vision, disorientation, nervousness, anxiety, headache, tremor, hypotension, respiratory depression, flushing, allergy etc
