Requirement for applying as CnF in Pharmaceutical Sector!

Actually, I am a sales professional having 12 years’ experience in distribution sales in Chhattisgarh as a Branch Head and also working with Cement CNF to supply goods to Stockist and retailers. I am shifting to Bangalore next month and planning to start Business in Pharmaceutical Sector as a CNF,
Do we need to have knowledge in the Pharmaceutical Sector before doing Business in that field, as I have heard that in Distributorship/Stockist/Retailer/Franchise owner they need to have diploma/degree in Medical Field?
I also had read that in the Pharmaceutical sector the supply chain is the same as in other industries, and I hope in the Pharmaceutical sector companies don’t require any science/Medical expert businessmen who can only apply for CNF?
Kindly Guide so that I can apply as CNF in Pharmaceutical Company.

Pharmaceutical industry is regulated industry and for starting CnF business in the pharmaceutical sector, you need to have a wholesale drug license. For taking a wholesale drug license, you need to have requisite qualification like a registered pharmacist or minimum of one year experience at a wholesale drug licensed firm for being eligible for a wholesale drug license or you have to hire a person fulfilling these criteria’s.
Pharmaceutical companies mostly appoint CnF on the basis of their experience and networking in the pharmaceutical sector. Pharmaceutical companies don’t look for science/Medical expert businessmen but they look for their capabilities for distributing their products.
After having a wholesale drug license and GST number, you are eligible to become a CnF in the pharmaceutical industry and apply for CnF of a pharmaceutical company based upon their term and conditions.
