It is non selective beta blockers with partial beta adrenergic receptor agonist property. It lowers blood pressure, heart rate and strain on the heart by blocking beta receptors. It has intrinsic sympathomimetic activity. It also shows membrane stabilizing effects.

Anxiety, depression, headache, diarrhea, nausea, dry or burning eye, skin rashes, bradycardia, hypotension, peripheral oedema, weight gain, palpitation, claudication etc
