GLIMEPRIDE

It is a hypogycaemic agent belonging to the second generation sulfonylureas . 

It appears to lower blood glucose by stimulating insulin release from beta cells in the pancreatic islets possibly due to increased intracellular cAMP

Indication:

• Non insulin dependent diabetes.
