Benazepril

Benazepril is come under class angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) Inhibitors used primarily in the treatment of hypertension, congestive heart failure and heart attacks. ACE inhibitors work by preventing conversion of angiotensin I into angiotensin II. Angiotensin II causes vasoconstriction which is responsible for building pressure on arteries. Inhibition of enzyme prevents such vasoconstriction activity and keep arteries dilated and allow easy flow of blood through arteries.

Indications: 

Treatment of hypertension, CHF etc.

Side Effects: 
Headache, dizziness, fatigue, cough, nausea, postural dizziness, pain, skin rashes etc.
