How to start Skincare products manufacturing unit?

Query:

I read most of the stuff you posted on the website. And thought of asking this queries.
1. We already own a surgical dressings Manufacturing unit, I work there as a quality control analyst, as I m pharmacy graduate.
2 I want to start my own natural skincare manufacturing at our old Mfg site.can I register for proprietary firm as I m working. Currently my father in law is sole proprietor of the current firm and he is BSC  D.Pharmacy.
3 if I start Manufacturing of skincare, can I get a license on my own name or do I need someone else from pharmacy background.
4 can I  use my father in laws license for new firm 
5 Or can I add his name as competent person 
6 Or as I am pharmacist , I can register a firm on my own name and license on my name and I will be the competent person to do lab thing

Response:

1. If you are working as quality control analyst in any existing firm, then your documents will be submitted in drug department. If yes, then you are full time employee of existing firm. You can’t be competent person in any other firm unless you resign from your current job. If your documents aren’t submitted to drug department as competent person in quality control then you are eligible to be competent person in other firm.
2. In one manufacturing site, one license could be issued. If you have already surgical dressing manufacturing license there, you can’t take cosmetic manufacturing license (Skincare) at same premise. At separate location or premise, you can apply for cosmetic manufacturing license. You could be proprietor of any firm along with your quality control analyst.
3. You can get license at your name but consider points mentioned under point 1.
4. One person could be competent person in one manufacturing site. If he is competent person in his proprietorship firm then you can’t use his qualification as competent person.
   Surgical manufacturing and cosmetic manufacturing are two different things. You will require separate license for skincare products manufacturing.
5. You can add your name as competent person but consider points mentioned under point 1
6. As a pharmacist, you are eligible for competent person in manufacturing of cosmetic products (Skincare) also along with lab things. But one person can work as competent person in one manufacturing site only or only in one department (Manufacturing or analysis).
