Flunarizine

It is one of the latest calcium antagonists with prven anit- migrane effect.
Flunarizine prevents cell damage due to calcium overload by selectivity blocking the entry of calcium into the cells of tissue. 

It has been found to inhibit te contraction of vascular smooth muscle and protect the red blood cells from membrane rigidity and protect brain cells from the effect of hypoxia.

Indication : 

Prophylaxis of classical and common migrane.
