Qualification required for starting Allopathic Medical Store

For starting allopathic medical store or pharmacy, there is requirement of registered pharmacist. A full-time registered pharmacist is required to start an allopathic medical store. Registered pharmacist requirement could be fulfilled by medical store owner by having own pharmacist registration or he/she can appoint a registered pharmacist as an employee.

For becoming registered pharmacist, one has to register his/her name under state pharmacy council and for registering his/her name, one needs to have either of following qualification:

  • Diploma in Pharmacy with 500 hours practical training spread over a period of not less than 3 months: or
  • Bachelor in Pharmacy or higher pharmacy education
